Análisis de las tipologías de innovación tecnológica en el profesorado universitario

Introducción: La integración de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje es un desafío vigente para la educación superior. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar las diferentes tipologías de docentes universitarios con relación al uso de las TIC, mediante la aplicación de minería de datos educativos. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo, no experimental y transversal (período académico 2024–2025). Se aplicó un cuestionario validado (α = 0,89; 56 ítems) a una muestra estratificada de 383 docentes distribuidos en cuatro facultades. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos (frecuencias, medidas de tendencia central, dispersión), pruebas de Chi-cuadrado (χ²) de Pearson, análisis de correspondencias múltiples (ACM) y agrupamiento jerárquico k-means en SPSS v.28 y Weka 3.9. Resultados: Se identificaron cinco tipologías docentes: Rezagados (13,6 %), Mayoría Tardía (22,7 %), Mayoría Precoz (32,1 %), Primeros Seguidores (20,9 %) e Innovadores (10,7 %). El 41,3 % usa herramientas de IA generativa al menos una vez por semana, aunque el 38,4 % lo hace sin formación pedagógica específica. Las barreras más frecuentes fueron la conexión lenta (29,8 %) y el costo del servicio de datos (18,2 %). Las pruebas Chi-cuadrado revelaron asociaciones significativas entre tipología y grado académico (χ² = 36,84; p < 0,001), facultad (χ² = 30,12; p = 0,003) y años de experiencia (χ² = 24,57; p = 0,017). Discusión: La irrupción de la IA generativa en el aula agudiza la brecha entre tipologías, demandando estrategias formativas diferenciadas. Los hallazgos coinciden con la literatura internacional sobre adopción tecnológica postpandemia y amplían el modelo de Rogers con una dimensión de literacidad en IA. Conclusiones: Más del 36 % del profesorado permanece en etapas iniciales de adopción tecnológica. Se recomienda implementar un programa institucional escalonado de formación docente en TIC e IA, acompañado de mejoras en infraestructura de conectividad.
